Hi, I'm Jo,
your guide
to postpartum sex.
I am a qualified sex therapist with a Master of Science in Medicine and have had nearly 20 years professional experience in sexual health, relationships, child development, and sexual trauma.
Full Bio
In my clinical work I specialise in relationship crisis, sexual dysfunction and the cultural influences on relationship expectations and norms. I take a sociological lens and delve into the impact of culture on relationships and sexual wellbeing from childhood to adulthood. Outside of my private practice, I co-founded an antenatal course to support couples better in the fourth trimester. I am passionate about parenting and community change for our young ones, I aim to aid families and professionals in navigating the effects of technology and sexualised media on young people, and challenge Government or tech companies to do better to protect those most vulnerable in our society. I have delivered a TEDx talk and speak internationally on topics of intimacy, relationships, and sexual culture. I pride myself on being a trusted guide through the complexities of human connection and sexual well-being.
I live in Auckland, New Zealand, am happily married to an amazing man, and we are proud but exhausted parents of three boys.
